Dear LSA families,
All of us are living through an unprecedented time as we work to keep our communities safe and healthy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Leavenworth Soccer Association is joining millions in America and nations across the world in confronting decisions that we’ve never previously had to face. Definitely, the BOD of LSA never imagined having to cancel a season of recreational soccer, but we are. It is with much sadness that we announce the cancellation of LSA’s spring 2020 soccer season. Leavenworth County is not immune and we already have individuals valiantly fighting the virus.
Clearly, based on all the evidence thus far, the best way to defeat the corona virus is to limit one’s exposure. As a result, we have no choice but to follow the scientists’ expert advice and cancel the spring 2020 season.
Rest assured that everyone will receive a refund for fees paid. However, with well over 300 individuals needing a refund this will take some time. If you paid by credit card your account will be credited for the spring soccer fees. If you paid by cash or check you will receive a check for the fees.
We ask your patience in this trying time and are looking forward to the fall 2020 season. Stay safe and we will see you on the pitch,
